Aluminium Rear

Will you help me determine if this is a good bike?

Ir's a dual suspension 21 speed Huffy Pulsar bike

Alloy brushed rims
Front & rear suspension
Aluminium dual suspension
3 piece crank
Front disc brake
Shimano EZ-fire 21 speed shifters

I am 15 and want to ride it to school and work + other close by facilities, i.e shops etc but mainly the first two which are both over 3 KM away with a lot of hard uphill riding involved.

Should I get it or not?

Even though Huffy is owned by TREK. I would suggest not buying it and purchasing a front suspenion bike. It will be lighter than the huffy and easier to get up the hills not as you wont be carrying extra weight of the inexpensive suspension and inexpensive parts that will wear out quicker than the parts on a entry level front suspension bike. Look for a Specialized, Trek, or any brand that is carried in a Bicycle Retailer, Try not to buy a bike from a big chain store like target or wal mart. The value isnt in the bike, The bikes are in those stores to meet a price point not for value reasons. please look into buying your next bike at a shop, You will be happier in the long run, since the bike will be fit to you you will enjoy riding it more and longer than the chain store bike, wheres its closer to two or three sizes fit all.

advice on an american jon boat 1032 (topper)?

hi, i have an american jon boat,its a 1032, topper/tracker. aluminium rivited boat.it has a flat botom, and has 3 seats in it.
it was new in feb 2008, and baught as used by me.
tried it on the lochs, and kinda scared the poop out ourselfes. there was waves coming over the front, and on occassion, over the rear.
these things , while frightening, were not the problem, i need to know if these boats are un sinkable, and if there is bauyancy under the seats, so if it did swamp, or flip over the boat would still float.
if not, has anyone added bauyency, mabye drill a small hole , and fill it with expanding foam? i dont really know. some lochs are about 1/2 a mile deep, if it sinks its gone,lol.
do you have one, or had one in the past? please help.

from what i undestand those lochs over there can really kick up,,,,and there are very,very big. I heard somewhere that submarines tie up in them.
A jon boat is not made for the ocean or ocean like waves. I live along the eastern seacoast and use a 16 foot fiberglass '' skiff"" which is really a flat bottomed jon boat. It is filled with foam and you can cut it in half and both halfs will float like a cork. But i stay close to shore and in the bays and inlets. A 2 foot wave beats the hell out of me going at 15 or 20 mph. So keep the life preserver strapped on and stay away from the bad weather and high winds.
Another thing is the outboard motor. When its running I have a lanyard attached to a motor cutout switch and the other half on my wrist. If i get flipped out the lanyard will shut off the motor.
