Clutch Flywheel

what advantages will I see from a lightweight flywheel and stage 1 clutch?

I have an 05 cobalt SS.supercharged with mild mods (intake, header, straitpipe). the flywheel is an 8.5 lb Fidanza aluminum flywheel and the clutch is a stage 1 ClutchMasters clutch.

It allows the engine torque to be transferred directly to the tranny and wheels easier. Instead of all the torque being lost in trying to rotate a heavy flywheel, which is why in a stock setup about 15-20% of power is lost in the drivetrain.

So basically it means more power to the wheels and faster acceleration. It also means that you have to rev the engine alittle more for the clutch to grip so engine wont stall. Its a good thing you got a stage 1 clutch for better gripping power.

my mondeo broke down dealer fitted new starter,clutch&flywheel £1100.still wont start asking for another £600

for fuel regulator . as it is my taxi have not worked for a week. do i pay for job i didn,t need

Try looking on ebay for the parts.. as they will probably be a lot cheaper there!!
