Is Dean Karnazes still planning to run to Hawaii in a giant hamster ball?

Is ultra marathon runner Dean Karnazes going to do that? I heard he was but that's like 3000 miles, i know he can run 300 miles, but 3000? Anybody know?

I don't know about Hawaii, but Dean Karnazes did post a blog entry on "Runner's World" online (www.runnersworld.com), in which he talks about his first experience with the hamster ball (actually a Hydro Bronc).

His comments at the end of the article talk about a wacky idea to traverse the 26 nautical miles between Catalina and Newport Beach in the wheel. Hard to tell from the blog, though, if this is a serious idea or if he's just being humorous. Here's a link to the article....

What are some positive outcomes of Hillary Clinton's "loss"?

I put the word loss in quotes because I still think Clinton is a much stronger candidate than Obama, and she also received more votes than he did. What can we learn from all of this?
1. MSNBC is one of the most biased media outlets in this country. Chris Matthews of Hardball fame has lost all credibility through his venomous attacks on Hillary and Bill.
2. Fox news actually does a better job on campaign coverage than MSNBC, and CNN has been only so-so.
3. Nancy Pelosi is a petty meddling queen bee and is completely jealous of Hillary's huge base of supporters.
4. Howard Dean needs to retire and pursue interests far away from politics.
5. Obama excels at giving speeches, but his ideas are not fully formed yet.
6. The ultra far left has hijacked the entire party and we need to right the ship before it's too late.
7. Even though Hillary has consceded the race, all the media outlets are obsessed with her every move. Obama just doesn't have the juice to draw interest.

The best thing about Hilary's loss is the fact that the Dems have nominated an Unelectable to go against McCain. Hilary stood a better change and the dems blew it.. thank God!
