On a 86 GMC 6.2 diesel engine, what size and type bolt holds the starter nose bracket to the block?

Mine is missing and it developed starter problems of not dis-engaging. I just purchased it in a 1 ton truck, and the engine is like new.

It is either m8x1.0 or m8x1.25, get both and try it.
