Hpi Kyosho What is the best 1/10 RC short course truck to get?
I was thinking about getting the ae sc10 brushless? but i have heard about kyosho, losi, traxxas, hpi, ofna. etc. but what is the best one to RACE!? for under 300 bucks outa the box? and wich is more popular 4WD or 2WD??

I would say that the sc10 is the best as far as racing. Good quality parts and well built RC. However, there are millions of aftermarket parts out there to make any of the popular brands you listed race worthy. I'm a huge Traxxas fan and love the Slash. The bonus with the Slash or any Traxxas vehicle is that they now all come with waterproof electronics. Servos, ESC and the receiver is in a waterproof box. You can't beat that. If you want to bash a little out in the snow or rain you are ok. Or if there are wet spots on the race track you never have to worry about your electronics going bad. I would still say the 2WD class is the most popular, and under $300 as you stated was your budget. 4WD's are all going to be over $300. If you are going to be serious about racing, I would go with the SC10. If you are going to the local track once in a while and more backyard bashing with friends, I would go with the Traxxas Slash.
