about 1 year ago I bought a nitro rc buggy on ebay. it is an Acme Condor Buggy. I have any used It about 10 minutes because I can not get it to run right. It has been kept in my garage since I last used it. I need exact details on how to adjust the fuel needles the idle speed and the carburetor to get it to run. I bought a new glow plug and have the glow plug heater device. It has run before but it took about 20 pulls on the pull start tro get it runing then it stalled out after about a minute of runing. How should I adjust this to get it to be atleast be able to run smoothly until I shut it down. What else should be checked. PLease help, it looks very fun but before I can use it whenever I want to I need to get it running easily and for it to stay on.
1st remove plug and lubricate it with WD-40 and turn engine several times with out pug, loosen it back up,then get a new plug and DONT MESS WITH THE LOW END NEEDLE!!! Turn top end needle clock wise till it stops, then turn it counter clock wise 2 1/2 to 3 turns out.Change all batterys in the transmitter and the ones for servos and reciever.Fill tank with, hmm go with 20% fuel,be sure the glow ignitor is fully charged.Put your finger tip over the exhoust opining other wise known as the stinger, with out the ignitor on pull until you see fuel getting to the carb,be sure to check the trim controls by removing the air cleaner, look in the barrel and work the trottle, let of the throtle and there will be a very small space between the slide and the barrel, thats what you want, thats at idle, leave every thing turned on put glow ignitor on and try it,it should start showing signs of life, poping and what not.If you have any more problems feel free and email me by clicking my aveator.
rc nitro car starts but moves forward without me pressing anything?
my rc car is new. when i started it the first time. it didn't move. it was rich. then i got it moving. then on the second tank it wasn't moving when i pressed Full throttle. then i turned it off. then when i turned on the rc car again it was moving without my pressing forward.
it always start on the first or second pull.
the weather on that day was foggy if it helps.
please help me as soon as possible.
First try turning down the throttle trim on the radio. If it's already down quite a bit then turn your idle screw counter-clockwise about a quarter turn. Sometimes if the low speed needle is off a little it can cause a high idle speed. The throttle linkage should also be checked that it moves freely. Remember you must turn the radio on first before the car and last after the car receiver is off. Good luck !!
