Racing Alu Specialized Roubaix comp daily commuting in England?
I am thinking of buying a lightly used Spesh Roubaix Comp 2008 (50 miles) for my daily commute of 10-15 miles each way.
1) Is the price of £900 a good bargain?
2) Will a carbon bike make a significant difference to the comfort over alu for commuting. At this price point is it a good idea to use the bike for daily commuting? Full shimano 105 gruppo (I will use sks race-blades and a back-pack). I do not require a frame for life. 4-5 years of frequent use.
3) The bike rack at work is situated just in front of the security guards, and the car-park so theft should not be an issue. I have been using my current alu bike for 1.5yrs with no issues.
