what do you cal the part of an RC in which you put the batteries in?

i was wondering what the you call the part in which you place the battery pack into a remote control car.

is it possible to make one but for a larger scale of batteries. ( about 10 to 20 batteries)

a battery tray/box. it is possible but thats a lot of weight. you are better off getting a lipo pack.

I want to build an RC car from scratch.?

I have some of the parts like the motor and battery (hopefully) I got these from an old drill that I dont use anymore (still works) but I dont know where I can get or make a decent radio transmitter and a circut board programmed to recaive it. so I was hoping someone who is into this stuff could help me out other wise Ill just make a cheap weed wacker out of it.

I suppose you could make your own transmitter and receiver, but by the time you get all of the parts you could buy a used one in working order off of ebay. Here's one that would cost $26 and it even has the frequency crystals...you might find one cheaper if you bid one one, but remember, any radio gear you get will need frequency crystals so if you can find an auction that has them included you will end up saving money.

One other thing to think about is if you buy a ready made radio it will meet federal law, if you make your own you'll have to do some real research to stay legal.
