Spec Crankshaft
As for the case of diesel engine ( 10 Tonner Truck s). What causes the crankshaft to break in two?
I am working with a lubricant company. A Customer complains that after oil change, the truck experience engine " lock up ". They have been using oil SAE 40 all the time and there are no problems. But recently 3 of their truck experience engine lock up after oil change. Did oil analysis of the used oil and it is within spec. From inpection one of the truck have a complete break for the crankshaft. RIght in the middle. Can anyone explain this ? It is oil related or mechanical problems? Many Thanks
A lot of times the problem that caused a broken crankshaft is a faulty front dampner pulley. I have seen this many times on diesel engines
